On or about Thursday, May 19th, 2022, sometime in the nighttime hours, a serious single-vehicle car accident sent one person to the hospital. Officials from the LPD said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of near 9th Street and Elgin Avenue in Lubbock, Texas.
Authorities from the Lubbock Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly lost control near 9th and Elgin. Emergency responders cut the victim from the wreckage and rushed them to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Elgin Avenue runs north and south, while 9th Street cuts east and west.
Police are still investigating the accident.
