On or about Wednesday, March 15th, 2022, shortly before 12:00 in the morning, a suspected DWI accident sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Applewhite Road in San Antonio, Texas.
Officials from the San Antonio Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was injured when the vehicle she was in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and rolled while driving down Applewhite Road. Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital where she was last reported in critical condition by medical staff. Authorities did not mention any other injuries or vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the far south side of San Antonio.
Officials said they have reason to believe the driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the accident.
