On or about Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, around 10:40 at night, a serious single-vehicle car accident sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the Flying J Travel Center along 4th Street in Lubbock, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the pickup truck they were in allegedly veered off the side of the road and hit a pole at Flying J Travel Center on 4th Street. Emergency responders transported one person in the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Interstate 27.
Police are still investigating the accident.
