On or about Thursday, May 5th, 2022, around 3:00 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle car accident sent one person to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 1431 in Jonestown, Texas.
Officials from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the vehicle she was in allegedly veered off the side of FM 1431 and crashed into a ravine a short distance off the pavement. The victim was trapped in the wreckage for upwards of two days before they were rescued and rushed to the hospital by emergency responders.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northwest side of Austin.
Officials are still examining the cause of the collision.
