On or about January 1st, 2022, around 11:45 at night, a serious single-vehicle car accident sent one individual to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 747 in Cherokee County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the passenger vehicle they were driving allegedly skidded off the side of the roadway and slammed into a tree a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported the driver of the SUV to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, FM 747 winds north and south through Cherokee County.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
