On or about Monday, November 29th, 2021, a serious two-vehicle accident sent one individual to the hospital by helicopter. Local law enforcement personnel said the accident was reported at the intersection of FM 918 and Highway 42 in Overton, Texas.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was seriously injured when the car they were in and another vehicle collided under unspecified circumstances at the intersection of FM 918 and Highway 42. Emergency responders cut one person from their vehicle and airlifted them to the hospital. Paramedics treated at least one other person at the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, Overton is about 120 miles southeast of downtown Dallas.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the collision.
