On or about Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, around 1:00 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle car accident sent one person to the hospital. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 287 and Highway 360 in Mansfield, Texas.
Police officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the passenger vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and struck a gas line a short distance off the pavement near the intersection of Highway 287 and Highway 360. After the initial accident, the gas pipeline burst into flames. Paramedics transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 33 miles southwest of downtown Dallas.
