On or about Monday, April 18th, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, a major single-vehicle car accident sent one individual to the hospital with serious injuries. Representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Highway 288 in Houston, Texas.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of Highway 288 and slammed into a concrete barrier a short distance off the roadway. Emergency responders transported the driver of the vehicle to the hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the exchange with the Gulf Freeway.
Officials are still investigating the crash.
