On or about Saturday, May 21t, 2022, around 4:00 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle car accident left one individual injured. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 31 in Tyler, Texas.
Officials from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway where it struck a parked passenger vehicle and rolled in a ditch a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the crash is not far from the exchange with Loop 323.
Police are still investigating the accident.
