Details:
On or about Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, around 6:41 in the evening, a major single-vehicle car accident sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities from the Travis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 10600 block of State Highway 71 in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the car they were in allegedly veered off the side of the roadway and slammed into a tree a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics transported one person to Dell Seton Hospital with serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the far west side of Austin.
Police are still investigating.
