On or about Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, a serious single-vehicle car accident sent one individual to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 77 in Bishop, Texas.
Deputies from the Nueces County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and crashed along U.S. Highway 77. Emergency responders transported one person in the vehicle to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the incident is not far from the exchange with County Road 18.
State and local agencies are examining the factors that may have contributed to the crash.
