Details:
On or about Sunday, May 15th, 2022, around 2:30 in the morning, a serious accident between a pedestrian and several vehicles sent one person to the hospital. Representatives from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of East Riverside Drive and South Lakeshore Boulevard in Austin, Texas.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly hit by several vehicles as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic near Riverside and Lakeshore. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of East Riverside Drive and South Lakeshore Boulevard is a short distance south of downtown Austin.
Police are still investigating.
