Details:
On or about Thursday, March 10th, 2022, around 3:00 in the morning, a suspected drunk driving single-vehicle car accident sent one person to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along East Southeast Loop 323 in Tyler, Texas.
Authorities from the Tyler Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of the roadway and crashed along East Southeast Loop 323 near New Copeland Road. Paramedics transported the driver of the car to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
Officials have since arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated in connection with the accident.
Police are still working to pin down exactly what happened in the crash.
