On or about Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, around 3:00 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle car accident left one person injured. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Loop 494 in Montgomery County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of Loop 494 and crashed into a barrier. Emergency responders transported the driver of the vehicle to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the Caney Creek bridge.
Police are still investigating the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
