On or about Thursday, February 10th, 2022, around 5:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a cyclist left a 43-year-old man injured. Law enforcement personnel said the accident was reported at the intersection of Nevera Loop and Ben-Cha Road in Laredo, Texas.
Officers from the Laredo Police Department said an as-of-yet unidentified 43-year-old cyclist was injured when they were allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as they were riding their bike along or across the roadway. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Nevera Loop and Ben-Cha Road is on the east side of Laredo.
Police are still investigating the accident.
