On or about Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, around 6:30 in the evening, an accident between a pedestrian and a motorist sent one individual to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported at the intersection of South Staples Street and Casa Linda Drive in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified 65-year-old man was seriously injured when he was allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on South Staples Street near the intersection with Casa Linda Drive. Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with major injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of South Staples Street and Casa Linda Drive is on the south side of Corpus Christi.
Officials are still looking into the accident.
