Details:
On or about Monday, March 14th, 2022, around 12:40 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left one person injured. Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported on West Gate Boulevard at or near the exchange with Indio Drive in Austin, Texas.
Officers from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly struck by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic on West Gate Boulevard. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Indio Drive and West Gate Boulevard is on the south side of Austin.
Authorities are still investigating.
