On or about Thursday, January 13th, 2022, around 8:30 in the morning, a single-vehicle car accident sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities from the LPD said the accident was reported along Loop 289 near Slide Road in Lubbock, Texas.
Officers from the Lubbock Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the minivan they were in crashed while it may have been evading authorities in a pursuit. Paramedics transported the driver of the minivan to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Loop 289 and Slide Road is on the southwest side of Lubbock.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
