On or about Thursday, January 6th, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, a serious accident between a police patrol vehicle and a suspected drunk driver sent a constable to the hospital. Officers from the HCSO said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market 1960 at the exchange with Interstate 45 in Harris County, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said an officer was injured when a constable’s vehicle was allegedly hit by a suspected drunk driver at the exchange of FM 1960 and Interstate 45. Emergency responders transported the officer to a nearby hospital where he was treated for unspecified injuries and released.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of FM 1960 and Interstate 45 is on the north side of Houston.
Police are still investigating the collision.
