Details:
On or about Monday, June 13th, 2022, a major two-vehicle accident with an alleged drunk driver sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at the intersection of West Front Street and South Garfield Street in Midland, Texas.
Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in was allegedly hit by a pickup truck that ran a red light at West Front Street and South Garfield Street. Paramedics transported the driver of the passenger vehicle to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
Police have since identified the driver of the pickup truck as 21-year-old Collin James Maxey, who has since been charged with intoxication assault in connection with the collision.
Officials are still investigating.
