Details:
On or about Thursday, January 27th, 2022, around 2:30 in the morning, a single-vehicle accident with a suspected drunk driver sent one individual to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 35 near the exchange with Binz-Engleman Road in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the passenger vehicle they were in allegedly veered off the side of I-35 and crashed in a ditch near near Binz-Engleman Road. Emergency responders transported the passenger in the vehicle to a nearby hospital where they were last reported in stable condition by medical staff.
Authorities arrested the driver of the vehicle under suspicion of drunk driving accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the northeast side of San Antonio.
Police are still investigating.
