On or about Thursday, October 7th, 2021, an accident between a dump truck and several other vehicles sent at least one person to the hospital. Investigators said the accident was reported along Interstate 80 near the exchange with Interstate 15 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Officials from the SLPD said at least one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when several concrete chunks allegedly fell from the back of a dump truck and hit several vehicles. Paramedics transported at least one individual to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 80 and Interstate 15 is situated a short distance south of downtown Salt Lake City.
Police are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
