On or about Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, around 5:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a dump truck sent one individual to the hospital. Officials from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Juniper Springs Road in Gilbert, South Carolina.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a dump truck and a car collided under unknown circumstances while driving down Juniper Springs Road. After the initial collision, the dump truck drove off the side of the road and tipped to one side. Paramedics transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries – but police did not specify if they were in the car or the dump truck at the time of the crash.
According to Google Maps, Juniper Springs Road runs north and south into the heart of Gilbert, which is about 25 miles east of Columbia.
