On or about Thursday, October 7th, 2021, around 3:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent at least one individual to the hospital. Representatives from the SDHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Universal Drive and Sturgis Road just outside Rapid City, South Dakota.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a dump truck and a passenger vehicle collided under unspecified circumstances while driving at or near the intersection of Universal Drive and Sturgis Road. Paramedics transported at least one person to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated a short distance north of Rapid City, which is about 348 miles west of Sioux Falls.
Police are still investigating.
