On or about Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, around 9:14 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a motorcycle sent one person to the hospital in serious condition. Troopers from the NCHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Salem Road and Sunrise Lane in Salem, North Carolina.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a dump truck allegedly turned into the path of the motorcycle they were driving. Police said the truck driver did not see the motorcyclist at the time of the collision. Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 77 miles northwest of downtown Charlotte.
