On or about Friday, April 29th, 2022, around 12:30 in the afternoon, a serious dump truck accident sent one individual to the hospital in a helicopter. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported along State Route 121 in Darke County, Ohio.
Spokespeople from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a dump truck allegedly crashed and rolled along SR 121. Emergency responders cut one individual from the wreckage and airlifted them to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Officials did not specify if they were the driver, or a passenger that wasn’t mentioned in the initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance south of New Madison.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
