On or about Thursday, July 29th, 2021, around 1:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a dump truck sent one person to the hospital by helicopter. Investigators said the accident was reported along Route 334 near the intersection with Durr Road in Clark County, Ohio.
Officers said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a dump truck and a car collided under unknown conditions while driving down Route 334 near the exchange with Durr Road. Emergency responders airlifted the driver of the car to Springfield Regional Medical Center with serious injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Durr Road and Route 334 is a short distance north of downtown Springfield.
Police are still investigating the incident.
