On or about Friday, December 17th, 2021, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a dump truck and a passenger vehicle sent one individual to the hospital. Officers said the accident was reported along Unisia Drive in Walton County, Georgia.
Local law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a dump truck allegedly crossed over the center line of Unisia Drive when it sustained a tire blowout. Emergency responders transported the driver of the car to Piedmont Athens Hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Walton County is about 51 miles east of Atlanta.
Police are still investigating the incident.
