One Injured in Dump Truck Accident on Willows Road in Lexington Park

On or about Wednesday, October 14th, around 11:22 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and a Dodge Challenger sent one person to the hospital. The accident happened on Willows Road near the intersection with Colby Drive in Lexington Park, Maryland.

Police officers said that one as-of-yet unidentified person was hurt when the Challenger and the dump truck collided under unspecified circumstances. After the initial collision, the dump truck veered off the side of the roadway and rolled in a wooded patch. Photos from the scene show the Dodge with extensive driver-side damage.

Paramedics transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

Examining the area on Google Maps shows that Willows Road is a four lane residential thoroughfare that is heavily wooded on the west side of the road. Lexington Park is roughly 68 miles southeast of Washington DC.

Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office are aiding in the investigation, which is still underway.
