On or about Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, around 3:30 in the afternoon an accident between a dump truck and a school bus sent one of the drivers to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of County Highway 21 and 240th Street in Grant County, Minnesota.
Officials said a dump truck driver was injured when their truck and a school bus collided under unknown conditions before both vehicles travelled off the roadway following the initial impact. The driver of the dump truck was taken to a nearby hospital before he was airlifted to a hospital in Fargo for treatment of his injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Elbow Lake, which is about 161 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis.
State and local law enforcement responded to the scene of the accident.
