On or about Monday, August 23rd,, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a gravel truck sent one person to the hospital. Officials from the Cuming County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 9 in Pender, Nebraska.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the gravel truck they were driving was allegedly struck by a turning tractor-trailer along Highway 9. Emergency responders transported the driver of the gravel truck to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Pender is situated about 101 miles north of Lincoln.
Local law enforcement is investigating the accident.
