On or about Thursday, March 10th, 2022, around 6:25 in the morning, a serious accident between a dump truck and a passenger vehicle left one person injured. Officials from the PSP said the accident was reported at or near the exchange of Belvidere-Martins Creek Highway and Route 611 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

Spokespeople from the Pennsylvania State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into a dump truck that was stopped at a stop sign. Emergency responders treated the driver of the dump truck for unspecified injuries, but it is not clear if he was treated at the scene or if he was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to Google Maps, Northampton County is a short distance northeast of Allentown.

Officials are still examining all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
