On or about Friday, June 3rd, 2022, around 3:00 in the afternoon, a serious accident between a dump truck and a train sent at least one person to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Kenilworth Avenue in Hyattsville, Maryland.
Troopers from the Maryland State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a dump truck was allegedly hit by a train at a crossing along Kenilworth Avenue. At lest one individual suffered partial amputation injuries in the accident, and was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is near Lloyd Street.
Police are still investigating.
