On or about Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, around 7:07 in the evening, an accident between an unloaded flatbed tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent a 58-year-old man to the hospital. Officials from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported on State Street near 148th Street in Spring Lake, Michigan.
Police officers said one as-of-yet unidentified 58-year-old man was injured when his car collided with a tractor-trailer that was allegedly backing across the eastbound lane of State Road, blocking the roadway. Emergency responders transported the driver of the passenger vehicle to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 31 miles west of Grand Rapids.
