On or about Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, around 3:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a flatbed tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Law enforcement representatives from the area said the accident was reported along Highway 242 near Grey Oaks Drive in Montgomery County, Texas.

Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the car they were driving allegedly struck the back of a flatbed tractor-trailer on the eastbound side of Highway 242. Officials said the flatbed trailer pierced the car’s windshield and struck the driver in the head. Paramedics rushed the victim to Memorial Herman Hospital in the Woodlands where they were last reported in critical condition. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is in the College Park area, which is about 35 miles north of downtown Houston.
