On or about Monday, April 12th, 2021, an accident between a suspected DWI flatbed truck driver and a pickup truck sent a 22-year-old man to the hospital. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported in the 3300 block of North Loop 1604 in San Antonio, Texas.
Authorities said an as-of-yet unidentified 22-year-old man was hurt when his pickup truck was allegedly rear-ended by a flatbed truck operated by a suspected drunk driver. Emergency responders transported the driver of the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident.
Police identified the driver of the flatbed truck as 27-year-old Danny Orellanes, who currently faces charges of intoxication assault and possession in connection with the crash.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene of the accident.
