Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 11th, 2021, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a garbage truck sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the MSP said the accident happened along Groesbeck Highway in Clinton Township, Michigan.
Michigan State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was seriously injured when an SUV and a garbage truck allegedly collided head-on when one of them may have drifted over the center line of Groesbeck Highway. Paramedics rushed one person to the hospital where they were last reported in critical condition.
Law enforcement officials closed Groesbeck Highway for four hours in order to tend to the scene of the accident. Clinton Township is located about 24 miles north of downtown Detroit.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
