Details:
On or about Monday, April 26th, 2021, around 7:30 in the morning, a single-vehicle garbage truck accident sent one person to the hospital. Officials from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Old Highway 105 at the intersection with Metts Road in Montgomery County, Texas.
Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the garbage truck they were driving skidded off the side of the road and rolled in a ditch a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Officers did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, Old Highway 105 runs north and south through Montgomery County, which is about 40 miles north of downtown Houston.
Texas DPS and local officials assisted at the scene of the crash.
