Details:
On or about Thursday, August 19th, 2021, around 1:10 in the afternoon, an accident between a garbage truck and an SUV sent one person to the hospital. According to OSHP said the accident was reported along Highway 224 in Poland, Ohio.
Police from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a garbage truck allegedly struck the back of an SUV that was stopped or slowed along Highway 224. Emergency responders transported the driver of the SUV to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 224 runs east and west through the center of Poland, which is about 81 miles southeast of downtown Cleveland.
Police are still investigating.
