Details:
On or about Thursday, November 18th, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a garbage truck and a pedestrian sent a woman to the hospital. Officers from the LPD said the accident was reported at the intersection of Winchester Road and Loudon Avenue in Lexington, Kentucky.
Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was injured when she was allegedly struck by a garbage truck that was making a left turn at the intersection of Winchester Road and Loudon Avenue. Paramedics transported the woman to University of Kentucky Hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Winchester Road and Loudon Avenue is situated a short distance east of downtown Lexington.
Police are still investigating the incident.
