On or about Sunday, June 5th, 2022, around 12:00 in the morning, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle sent one person to the hospital. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Cole Avenue in Dallas, Texas.
Authorities from the Dallas Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle that was driving the wrong direction as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross Cole Avenue. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where they were last reported in critical condition.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Lemon Avenue.
Police are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
