Details:
On or about Monday, February 28th, 2022, around 9:25 at night, a serious hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one person injured. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along County Road 7200 near Private Road 2450 in Lubbock County, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly struck by a vehicle as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of County Road 7200. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
According to Google Maps, County Road 7200 cuts east and west through Lubbock County.
Authorities are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the accident scene.
