On or about Saturday, March 19th, 2022, around 5:45 in the morning, a hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one person injured. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported at the parking lot of a Home Depot along Old Jacksonville Highway in Tyler, Texas.

Officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle in the Home Depot parking lot. After the initial incident, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident. Paramedics transported the victim to UT Hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the incident.

Police said the pedestrian may have been intoxicated at the time.
