On or about Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, around 3:10 in the afternoon, a serious hit-and-run accident sent one woman to the hospital. Authorities from the Travis County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the North MoPac Expressway in Austin, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Austin Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was injured when her vehicle was allegedly struck by another car that veered sharply on the North MoPac Expressway. After the initial accident, the vehicle that veered sharply fled the scene of the collision. Emergency responders transported the driver of the other vehicle to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from U.S. Highway 183.
Officials are still trying to find the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
