On or about Sunday, December 19th, 2021, around 5:30 in the afternoon, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a car sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Riverside Drive and East Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas.

Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was rushed to the hospital after they were allegedly hit by a passing motorist as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic at Riverside Drive and East Lancaster Avenue. Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of Riverside Drive and East Lancaster Avenue is a short distance from downtown Fort Worth.

Police are still looking for the vehicle that fled the scene.
