Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020, sometime before 11:00 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers left one person injured. Investigators said the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Highway 58 near Highway 223 in Arvin, California.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the tractor-trailer they were driving allegedly struck the back of another 18-wheeler. The driver of the rear tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries. Police did not indicate if they were taken to the hospital.
Looking at Highway 58 on Google Streetview shows a four lane roadway, with a concrete barrier dividing east and westbound traffic. Arvin is located about 21 miles southeast of Bakersfield.
Deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene of the incident.
