On or about Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, sometime in the morning hours, an accident between a train and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at a crossing on or near Katy Hockley Road in Hockley, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives from the Texas DPS said one as-of0yet unidentified individual was injured when the tractor-trailer they were driving and a train collided under unknown conditions. Emergency responders transported the truck driver to the hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 37 miles northwest of downtown Houston.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
