Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29th, 2024, a tractor-trailer carrying pool water began a left turn onto Grand Army of the Republic Highway when it collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured, however the pickup truck driver received serious injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the accident is being investigated by Swansea Police.
