One Injured in School Bus Accident on 107th Avenue in Peoria

On or about Thursday, June 10th, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a school bus sent one individual to the hospital. Investigators said the accident was reported along 107th Avenue near the intersection with Happy Valley Road in Peoria, Arizona.
Deputies from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when they were allegedly struck by a school bus as they were walking down or making an attempt to cross 107th Street. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to the hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Officers did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident, and indicated the bus was absent of children at the time of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of 107th Avenue and Happy Valley Road is about 30 miles northeast of downtown Phoenix.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the accident.
