On or about Friday, July 30th, 2021, around 5:00 in the morning, an accident between a tanker truck and a school bus sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 80 near I-79 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the school bus they were driving and a tanker truck collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down I-80 near the exchange with I-79. Emergency responders transported the school bus driver to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Officers did not mention any other injuries stemming from the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 80 runs east and west near the southern edge of Mercer County, which is situated about 64 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh.
